For the PGI aspect think of it as HBS leasing Shimmering Sword's work that is it that is all, trying to make a bigger connection between the two is just fishing for a reason to not like the game. As to the history, they have the full support of Catalyst Game Labs and the most notable author from the novels. Along with the reboot and CGL actually coming out and saying they are going to be fleshing out and revisiting the older canon/Classic BattleTech stuff I can see this game showing the history that is BattleTech. Some of the stage goals are appearances by notable Mercenary unit leaders (Morgan Kell, Grayson Death Carlyle, the ELH).

Im not fishing. I have learned not to trust pgi or take anything they do at face value. Mark my words, something will go down with them one way or another. Why, because pgi. Any connection at all with pgi will not go smoothly.

Nice article Dark. BK, you don't have to support the Kickerstarter for whatever reason you deem reasonable. The rest of us will contribute to it in hopes of keeping Battletech alive. By doing so we hope someday it will become a more popular mainstream franchise again. I'm sure we would all like to see the sparks of this wonderful universe grow into a flame, that grows into a fire that spreads to other gaming titles, books and products. If this game takes off, who knows, there might be room for it to expand to the clan invasion.

I do wish you would reconsider your view on this particular project. Opportunities to keep our common bond alive don't come around very often my friend.

Carnage, As I told Dark back when this first was coming around I was "cautiously optimistic". That still holds true in regards to the game.

and yes yes, I know you need a game to keep in our lives :p

Actually I don't and I believe you have it backwards BK, your the one who needs 'a' game to come around. I'm not currently playing any games with you guys yet I still come and chat, don't I?

I'm honestly super excited they have a record of good kickstarters so I'm hopeful.

also it seems Catalyst, PGI, and HBS are all working on a brand unity this could be the second coming

hell we might even get a kids TV show............
